MSNBC said Monday that it will replace the team of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann as anchors of its live political coverage for the rest of the presidential campaign season.
I am truly devastated at the news about Chris M and Keith Olbermann. I look forward every evening to watch them and learn, laugh and, yes, even, tear up a bit.
What a vacuum there will be on MSNBC.
David Gregory is colorless, literally, next to these brilliant journalists.
Thank God they hired Rachel Maddow. I think she's superb and did wonder when she would get their own show considering how successful she was as a guest. host. Now I see what MSNBC was thinking. Get rid of the BEST you have and hire Maddow and nobody will miss them. WRONG WRONG! WRONG! I looked forward to watching the election returns.
My family whom I convinced to watch them also love them. I told a lot of friends too and now this........For shame!
And so ... what about "MorningJoe" ...is that supposed to be an unbiased news program? That's a laugh! Conservatives just can't take straight shots.
I loved it when Chris chewed up Pat Buchanan. About time someone exposed that old windbag.
Are you kidding me! Olbermann and Matthews are the only reason to watch MSNBC. Fox has their Hannity, and O'Reilly. Now Obama has no one to speak for him!

I stopped watching MSNBC several weeks ago because of the obvious bias on the part of Chris Matthews whom I can no longer stomach. I thought he had been replaced, but since he has not been removed from the air I will most definitely become a permanent viewer of Fox News. At least the anchors treat the candidates with respect, not one-sided disdain.
Most all media is incredibly biased and mostly way left of the center line. The media's only role is to report the facts without bias so that the public can make up its own mind. Olberman is a blazing Democrat and it oozes out his pores. He has no business being so biased. They should take him off but MSNBC is left anyway.
Olberman and Matthews were despicable, sorry excuses for news journalists during both conventions. And, it's obvious a lot of these comments are from people who do not listen to all points of view from all networks.
I agree that MSNBC made a mistake. These are two of my favorite programs. I also will switch to another news station.
Has MSNBC became another FOX network. I don't agree with this move & I will watch CNN or CBS from now on out.
I am appalled at the NBC organization & this decision. Every media organization in America is giving SO MUCH undeserved attention to this ridiculous Republican Vice Presidential Candidate & now MSMBC has caved to the conservatives & I guess will have more time to do so since saying anything good, even when it is plainly deserved, is obviously a no no! Are you kidding me?? This is what the republicans do! They get out there teeth & get nasty, & Democrats allow it to guide Americans without biting back. Yes, we need to stick to the issues, but they aren't & we need to say so VEHEMENTLY!
I thought that Olberman & Matthews were very respectful , a little too so for my taste, at the Republican convention. Are we going to censore Buchanon too, because he was GUSHING about Obama after his speech! This is nothing but censorship & America should be outraged!
David Gregory a Republican, I think not. Both deserve it, their vitriol is astounding. And Olbermann rants about Fox not being "fair and balanced", which they are not, but certainly Keith is NOT either.
